FEAR LESS: Unfailing Courage from the Ultimate Shepherd – Daily Devotional Day 3 – Isaiah 40:6-11. The overwhelming tone of this passage is tenderness. The Good Shepherd doesn’t just rule over His people, He tends His flock with loving care. In the ancient world, many of the gods of other nations were described as distant deities who rained down judgment or blessing from on high. They could only be worshiped at a distance, given sacrifices and gifts to appease their wrath.

FEAR LESS: Unfailing Courage from the Ultimate Shepherd – Daily Devotional Day 2 – John 10:1-6. The most important role of a shepherd is guiding the sheep to green pastures and clean water where they have enough to eat and drink. The sheep know when I tis time to go and where to go by listening for their shepherd’s voice.

Every day for the next five days, we will look at a different Scripture passage about the Good Shepherd and how He guides us, protects us, pursues us, and lays down His life for us.
