Men

The Grace Chapel Men’s Ministry exists to: Connect, Equip, and Challenge men to engage in opportunities to experience abundant life in Christ together. (Matthew 28:17:20; Mark 12:30-31; Colossians 1:28)

Mission: Provide communities, leadership/facilitator training, spiritual formation pathways and service opportunities that passionately engage, grow and encourage men in their faith as they serve and witness in their spheres of influence. (Ephesians 4:11-16)

RELATIONAL/ACTIVITY based opportunities:
1) Greys (and maybe Torries) Peak climb: Thursday, Oct. 1.  I have been asked by several men to lead another 14’er climb…this time during daylight hours(no Full Moon hike) and NOT on a Sat., as many men are busy with family activities on most Saturdays.

Quick details: We will Leave GC @ 5:09 am and return mid-afternoon.  Greys and Torries are in the front range, near the Eisenhower Tunnel. This is rated as a “beginner climb/hike”…but, some baseline of fitness certainly is needed.  After all, you are climbing a 14’er. More information/details…Contact: Mark DeNooy at mdenooy@gracechapel.org

2) Sunday night Ultimate Frisbee: Get the kids tucked in bed and join other men for a night of prayer, Ultimate Frisbee, and fellowship. The men gather at Bison Park, in Castle Rock and throw the disc from 7:30-9 pm.  Bring water and a light-colored T-shirt.  Frisbee, cones, prayer, fellowship, a bold challenge of gospel living, and lights are all provided. More information/details….Contact: Brian Griener at bdgreiner@gmail.com
3) Top Shot shooting competition: SAVE THE DATE for Saturday, Oct. 24 at Kiowa Creek Sporting Club (https://kiowacreek.com/kc/).  All skill levels welcome!  You’ve ever shot a shotgun before?  Join us, we will help you! You have shot sporting clays before?  Join us!  We would love to have you!  Registration and details coming to the Men’s Ministry website.  Your assignment, should you choose to accept it is…SAVE THE DATE!  This event will start at 10 am and will last 2 about hours.

New Discipleship Opportunity!
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’  But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.’
~Matthew 5:27-28~

1) Soul Purity. Pornography usage (for men and women) is at an all-time high. Unfortunately, easy internet access allows pornography to fit the 3 A’s.  It is…
  • Accessible
  • Affordable (free)
  • Anonymous

Cleanse! Are you struggling with lust, unbiblical sexual desires and/or pornography? Is your view of sex being distorted even by the magazines in the check-out line at the grocery store?

You are not alone!!

We will be leading a Men’s group (and separate women’s group), for all who struggle with any of these strongholds. We encourage you to prayerfully consider joining other men for SOUL PURITY. This 8-week group/study will take you through, at a practical level, steps to reset the conscience, repent, and begin to live your life free from these life-dominating sins.

We, as a church, can no longer be silent on this issue and we are called to walk along-side of all who struggle!

This “no judgement zone” group will start on Thursday, Oct. 1, from 6:00-8:00 pm. Please, if you struggle, and want to join this group…DO NOT FEAR any judgement or condemnation!!
