Hi GCKids Parents,
Please enjoy this month’s GCKids Connect:
It’s the most wonderful time of the year. I love Christmas because it’s not just a holiday…it’s a season! In December, our GCKids will have the opportunity, each Sunday, to celebrate the birth of Jesus (the King, Messiah, Savior, Emmanuel, Prince of Peace, and the list goes on). Our Nursery and Preschool will have a “Birthday Bash” for Jesus, while our Elementary students will hear about God’s compassion in sending us the Savior!
Christmas at Grace Chapel:
Celebrate Christmas with us! Invite your friends, neighbors, and family to join you this year! We have many exciting things planned for each week of the Advent season. You can pick up invitations in the Upper Lobby Hub.
On Sunday, December 23, be sure to join us for a Christmas “Open House” at 9:00 AM. Kids and families can join with the entire Grace Chapel family for fun activities, holiday snacks, Christmas songs, and more in the Upper Lobby Hub. We’d love to have you join in the fun before our regular 10:45 AM worship service and kids regular programming. This will be a fun morning for the whole family!
Christmas Eve Candlelight services – Monday, December 24
Join us on Christmas Eve at 3:00 or 5:00 PM as we celebrate the birth of Christ! This service will be different from Sunday’s service. Childcare will be available for ages 3 and under.

Get To Know Us!
Meet Kelli Snyder. Kelli is our Preschool Director and has been on our team since the beginning of 2018. She is married to Spencer, and they have four boys: Colton (8), Hudson (6), Dawson (5), Sutton (3), and a fifth boy on the way!
Here are some of her favorites:
- Hobby: Hiking with the family
- Restaurant: Hacienda Colorado
- TV show: Psych or The Office
- The last picture you took on your phone: The boys in front of the Christmas tree
- Most visited website: Amazon 😆
- Vacation destination: We love to explore Colorado. Living here is still like a vacation for us!
- Bible Verse: Joshua 24:15, As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
- Breakfast this morning: Granola
- If you had an extra $500, what would you buy? A cleaning service for my home…or maybe a shopping spree to Altar’d State.
On the last Sunday of the month, our Lodge students (1st – 5th grades) have the opportunity to participate in something we call Expedition Sunday.
At 9:00 AM, our GCYouth students (Junior High and High School) host us down in the Gym and provide amazing group games, rockin’ worship, and lead our kids through small group discussion questions. This is always a highlight each month.
At 10:45 AM, a Grace Chapel Mission Team shares with our students about their global outreach focus group. We are treated to a unique cultural experience in which our teams dress the part and share pictures and stories about what God is doing all around the world. This is always a special time for our kids. A big thank you to Alicia Bennett for coordinating and organizing these teams. We are so blessed!
Preschool “Happy Helpers”:
Last month in our Clubhouse, our kids gave thanks for those who help others. We call these people “happy helpers” (e.g., police officers, firemen, doctors, teachers, etc.). Our kids were encouraged to be happy helpers themselves by showing appreciation and serving others at home or wherever they go!
Seeking Paid Childcare Workers:
We are seeking paid childcare workers. If you have interest in hearing more about this opportunity to help provide mid-week childcare, please contact Pam Willecke at PWillecke@GraceChapel.org.
Thank you and God bless,
