Having a servant’s heart is at the center of the Christian life – community, encouragement, and love in action.
What will we be doing up there?
This is a work retreat at Horn Creek Camp & Conference Center, nestled in the majestic Sangre de Cristo Mountains. We’ll be helping the camp during the day and playing at night. Our projects cover a variety of tasks including painting, food-service, and timber removal. In the late afternoons and evenings, we’ll play volleyball, go hiking, compete in board games, and drink hot chocolate by the fire. We’ll also have great worship and devotions.
How am I going to be able to come up with the money?
The cost isn’t $150, or $100, or even $50; it’s… free! That’s right, your food and lodging for the weekend are already paid in full.
What should I bring?
A joyful attitude, a servant’s heart, your Bible, work clothes, a warm blanket, snacky snacks, board games
When do we leave?
Vans will leave the church at 1 or 3 p.m. on Friday. There is also a carpool leaving at 1 p.m. on Thursday for an optional extended time of serving.
